Welcome Back!
We hope you all had a lovely summer, it is wonderful to see our old children back, they are all looking so grown up! We are also so happy to welcome our new children this term, we loved meeting you all on the home visits and the children have all enjoyed their visits and have been settling into their new sessions really well!
Fundraising
As a charity setting, we rely heavily on donations from our Parents. We fundraise every half-term through events and activities such as bake sales and parties, the money raised goes towards snack and new resources for the children. This term, our fundraisers will be: • Thursday 20th of October – Coffee morning & Stay and Play session • Friday 21stOctober – Halloween party • Thursday 15th of December – Christmas party & Festive bake sale
Uniform
We have lots of Preschool t-shirts in stock, and we can order hoodies for the children too. T-shirts are £6.50, hoodies cost £15. Please email Rachael (325preschool@gmail.com) to order uniform.
Preschool Committee
Our Committee support the management of the Preschool, they are parent-volunteers who meet every term to discuss fundraising, Preschool development, staff recruitment, and many other important things. We need more parents to join our Committee, it is a very valuable role, vital for keeping Preschool doors open! For more information on joining us, contact committee325@outlook.com.
Tapestry
We hope you are all enjoying receiving observations for your children on Tapestry, don’t forget that you can upload photos too! We would love to see what the children are getting up to at the weekends and in the holidays, it’s a great opportunity to make links and talk with the children about the fun things they do at home! Tapestry observations are uploaded every Friday so keep an eye on your emails for notifications.

Staff News
Emma Bishop will be leaving us at the end of September to start her maternity leave! We wish her and her family all the very best and can’t wait to meet her new baby very soon. Emma Clarke will be stepping up to Third in Charge whilst Emma B is away, and we have a new Apprentice starting with us, Kassie, who will be joining us in October to study for her Level 3 qualification, we are looking forward to welcoming her and supporting her with her studies. We also have our lovely college student, Gabi, who works with us every Monday and Wednesday.
Communication
If you ever want to talk to someone at Preschool, our door is always open. You can speak to your child’s Key Worker, our SENDCO (Debbie), our Welfare Officer (Emma Clarke) or Rachael (Manager) at any time during our opening hours.

If your child is going to be absent from Preschool, please either call or text 07944220280 or send us an email before 9.15.
Community walks
From October, we will be starting our community walks again, we take small groups of children out into the local area to explore the community. We visit parks, look for wildlife, do scavenger hunts, and many more exciting things. Groups for outings will be displayed on the door from October, when it is your child’s turn to go for a walk, please make sure they have a waterproof coat with them as the weather is becoming more unpredictable as we head into Autumn!
Preschool Library
Our Preschool library is available every day! It is completely self-service, just help yourself to a book to share with your child, sign it out, then when you have finished with it you can sign it back in and swap for another one!
